Traveling to Canada happened just on concise notice. A friend was part-time living in Toronto, so I had a place to stay. I booked a flight and thought afterward about what I could do. I decided to start with Skiing in Mont Tremblant, next to Montreal. The journey began annoying as Lufthansa lost that bag with my ski equipment, but they were helpful and paid for everything I needed for skiing. But now, following the road of my three weeks in Canada.

Starting at Toronto airport and getting my car to drive to Mont Tremblant
I went there for three days of skiing, it was already the end of the season, therefore pretty empty on the one side, but also, the snow was in lousy shape around 2 pm. All in all, it was a perfect experience. Mont Tremblant is a small skiing area called the St. Moritz of Canada. The only disappointing thing, Canadians do not know what “Aprez Ski” means 🙂

From skiing, I went to Montreal to explore the city for two days.
Montreal is “just another big city” with pros and cons. Sometimes I had the feeling that Canadian architects used Montreal as a competition can build the weirdest building 🙂

On the way back to Toronto, I used the chance to visit Ottawa, the Canadian capital. It’s a smaller city, but with lovely historical buildings. I only had a couple of hours, but worth it!

Back in Toronto for almost two weeks, and I have to say, it was a blast!!! Toronto is a fantastic city, close to nature, with unique buildings, friendly Canadians, good food, art, and craziness.

And by the way, I found Freddy’s home street

For sure, I had to eat at the Cheese Cake Factory; fantastic, but have you ever tried a sushi burrito? OMG, nothing better than that!

During my stay, I also had the chance to visit an NHL game… Also a unique (and expensive) experience. But worth it! Canadians know how to celebrate their sport!

It is just a few hours’ rides from Toronto to visit Niagra Falls. So I did it! Unfortunately, it was still icy; therefore, there were no ships in the falls as it was too dangerous, and the helicopter flights were too expensive. Nevermind, I had a great view 🙂

Last but not least, I just saw this by walking around the city, with the exhibition of the great artist Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors.
Pretty hard to take pictures, as you are in a 9m-9m-9m cube with all mirrors, starting in the dark, and out of nowhere, lights pop up and show you an impressive scene. It has been 7 of these rooms, with around 25min of waiting for each of them. Around these seven rooms, some other installations have been shown.
